Westfield Senior Citizens Housing opened its doors in 1977 with the purpose of serving the needs of low-income senior citizens. The building, in the shape of a “H”, is a 3 storied, elevator equipped building of brick-veneer masonry construction, located at 1133 Boynton Avenue. The building is situated on a 10 acre site, southeast of its intersection with Sycamore Street, and is a short distance from Central Avenue and the South Side Fire House.
The 172 units are as follows:

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for tenancy, the following criteria must be met:
-Minimum of 62 years of age at the time of application.
-There is one apartment designated to a disabled applicant under the age of 62.
-As of May 15, 2023, the maximum gross annual income, from all income sources, must not exceed $66,300 for a one-person household, and $75,750 for a two-person household. If your gross income exceeds these limits, or you cannot afford to pay the rent, you are not eligible for tenancy.

Tenant Selection
The responsibility for the tenant selection policy rests with the Westfield Senior Citizens Housing Corporation, and is done in accordance with Federal and State regulations and guidelines. This is an equal opportunity housing facility.

The building, in the shape of a “W”, is a 3 storied, elevator equipped building of brick-veneer masonry construction, located at 1129 Boynton Avenue. The building is situated on an 8.5 acre site, southeast of its intersection with Sycamore Street, and is a short distance from the Central Avenue and the South Side Fire House.
The 131 units are as follows:
- 131 one bedroom apartments
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for tenancy, the following criteria must be met:
- Applicants for each apartment must be 62 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Income eligibility standards, established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, must be met.
- As of May 15, 2023, the maximum gross annual income, from all income sources, must not exceed $52,620 for a one-person household, and $60,120 for a two-person household. If your gross income exceeds these limits, or you cannot afford to pay the rent, you are not eligible for tenancy.
Waiting List
There is currently a waiting list for this building. However, applications are considered on a rolling basis, and if the applicant appears to be qualified, his/her name will be added to the bottom of the current list.
